Hello Life, I have missed our alone time. I am glad we rekindled!

I remember the days I would wake up and be ignited with such a spark. A spark that lead me to believe nothing was impossible. Because you were possible. Waking from a peaceful slumber and absorbing that moment of eagerness. Tinkering in my own mind of what you were going to show me first. How I was going to surprise you, and how you were going to surprise me. Now that you are back holding my hand and leading me to your unnoticed beauties. I am back to a point where we see eye to eye. It feels good to be alone with the one I care about most.

Hello Life, They tell you who you are.

It seems as if sea creatures do not mind the aquarium life, unlike animals at the Zoo. I think the waters that surround them bring a calm to them. Or maybe the water eases their minds to a level of conscience that provides them comfort that cannot be taken away. The vastness of the planets Oceans is so great and unpredictable, could it be that these creatures feel safer than they ever have in the wild, could it be marine animals understand this concept.

Hello Life, we have the same vision but who has the clearer view.

Digging deep into the box of photos I stumbled upon these treasures of mine. Yes I do have a box of photos well its a box of cd's that contain all my backed up photographs, I have lost track of how many photos I have to date, but going thru all the disc is a weekend long event that rarely gets completed. Each disc a time capsule of my life's major crossroads shown through the cross hairs of my Nikon's. I am now three cameras deep in the game, working on that fourth. It's funny that in 2011 you can still shoot with black and white and the image is still speaks those thousand words. Try watching your new prime time line up in black and white and tell me its the same, I didn't think so. I'll save the rest of the digging for some other weekend. Please do enjoy the buried treasure.

Hello Life, Is that a backpack full of cans?!?

I step up my showcase of art with every photo shoot. Another photo shoot is another lesson learned. A lifetime of photography is a lifetime of lessons and those lessons all wrapped in to few masterpieces. Art from the soul bridged by the mind, in imagery we stand through time and space and pose for immortality.  I wouldn't choose any art form to express myself, the angles, the colors, behind the capture is where I belong.

Color scheme is very important to most, I match it with an overall emotion from subject, photographer, and the energy that is shared in the experience. Reaching past the normal pallete with this one. What good is the box if you don't ever step outside of its confines.

Worlds over from my typical shot, the height of the colors are no match to the subject. Highlighted for the Wall Street Journal.

Some stories behind photographs are the reason they never see the light, I figure the work speaks for itself on this one. My images are a clear defined path, too bad the road to success is nowhere near as visible to all. Dedication to your path is the key is most cases.

For a photographer, riches are the least of a concern, the only gold is found at the heart of each image. Ryan "Bluetwig" Williams

Hello Life, Did you read the Chapter in my Book, Digital Etiquette?

The Business of sharing your creativity with others is a tricky one, specifically in these digital times. How can you put a price on the beauty of what you daydream of daily and dream of every night? This question used to plague me every so often, and for many years I developed my own definition of a freelancer. Doing so many jobs, tasks and assignments for free, each time just summing up my efforts as, I am my definition of a "freelancer".Once during my location seeking in downtown Los Angeles, with one camera mounted on my shoulder (shooting with a remote) and my main work horse camera in hand. A woman approached me and just inquired about my photography. She then told me "she respected seeing a young man like myself out there chasing a dream." She then told me "she wanted to donate to my cause" and she gave me cash, and wished me luck. Little did she know she had touched my heart with that gesture. When a repeat client said some of the most encouraging words to me, beyond the simple praise of my photographic product. He said "I respect the work you do for me and my family". This comment will always be displayed on the mantle of my heart. When your client tells you from their heart to yours that they respect essentially what starts off as your dream, it means more than money and power. My goal in photography has always been to bridge my dreams to my reality. To my supporters, and any one who has ever supported. I just want to say thank you for the years of respecting my dreams.

Hello Life, Alone in time once again we are...

If I didn't have to eat, sleep, and do other things. I honestly think I can sit back and listen to the world spin, and just watch time fly by. The time-lapse photographer's dream, a whole life-time compressed into a million frames. The experience of waiting for a photograph to develop before your eyes is truly a movement through time. We travel as lightning forward and thunder backwards as we bring our technical pieces to the present.

A Meal for Thought
Lord's Wisdom

Peering into a window of time

Reminded of a time when I was younger in about the 3rd grade, I pulled off a feat that scared my principal's poor heart. It was a rainy gloomy sort of afternoon and lighting storms thunder all around the school as the bell released school. I dressed in my finest raincoat walked under the shelter of the awnings until I got the bright idea to test my luck. I changed direction and walked into the middle of the huge field that stood at the front of Marion Bergson Elementary. I stood in the middle of the field for which felt like numerous lifetimes waiting for something to happen. I didn't know if it could happen I only wondered what were the odds of it happening to me. My van-pool finally arrived I ran through the rain to meet my principal back at the awnings. And her words to me were "DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN!" I can still hear her exact tone of voice till this day. To me my reflections of that experience have shown me that some moments are timeless and truly last a lifetime.
