Hello Life, I Caught one of your moments

There are plenty of places I see in my long drives from my home to work. One of the places I pass is the Great Wall of Los Angeles, its a mural that is inside the Los Angeles River. It took me about an hour and ten minutes to photograph its entire length which is 2,754 feet. So about three quarters of a way through I spotted this little moth, and the way it posed for the camera was just the highlight of my day, maybe even my week.

No tripod just wanted to have these for myself.

This is my favorite part at the beginning

Marathon Man is on fire

highlight of the week for me.

Hello Life, You listen to Trak Legendz music too!!!

Its a pleasure working with an artist from the very begginings you see so much more of them that the world doesn't get to view. I've seen a bucket full of talented people emerge on the scene and last for a few months. Underground rap circuits are quickly demolished by the masses that attend them and have a short life expectantcy due to the wreckless acts of spectators and poor business management. Its just great to see these particular artists rise above all the hurdles independant record labels face and continue to run strong in this race.

Hello Life, Have you heard of Creators Club?

The world is filled with billions of voices and within those billions it is easy to get lost. So there are a lot of unspoken masterminds out there, and to have a group of those minds to work with expands the far reaches of you own mind.

"By the end of 06' ima have twenty-six legends" quote from Gage one of my favorites. These artists present to me true forms of art. If its music from the soul or art from the heart they are pleased to represent it raw and uncut. I appreciate that and I try to give them as much as they have given me. Hello Life, ready for this weekends trip to the Valley

The movement of skateboarding was therapeutic for many people but for myself it was the transfer of energy that made it so appealing. Moving in a direction with a goal in mind, concentrating to accomplish that goal, conquering any obstacle in the way of that goal, and the feeling of completion.

Hello Life, Are you ready for a game of S-K-A-T-E?

I owe skateboarding so much its has pushed my life in such a positive direction, and to any of my friends that still ride those boards and still flip those tricks keep hustling.

Back to back back tailslides (say that 5 times fast)

This skatepark is a heart of the valley for so many people, its a learning ground for street scholars.

Look at the height of that barrier, "Kmart" getting those 180 5-0's

This is a 5-0 to a tailslide

Hello Life, Plane tickets for me, why thank you very much!

Here are just a few postcards that I made from my trip to Chicago. I spent most of my time in my hometown of Lockport. I am planning a return trip within a year to finish my essay. It will actually take two more trips to finish that essay, so i'll cross my fingers and hope that I have a blessed 2009 year. Plus I need to spend the night on the streets of the Chi to get some of the shots that I wanted. This time around I was moving to fast I had a million things to do and thousands of places to be each day. The forests of Illinois provided me with plenty of stock landscape, flower and wildlife photos. I saw deers, cardinals, and night time fireflies. While on this trip I covered my family reunion and captured my goal of 2000 photos on the side. Visiting my hometown puts a motivation in me that is one of a kind. I love the small town, big heart ideals of the mid-west. Any place where your family roots run deep is a place where you can throw all worries aside. The food was great, the people were very welcoming and the weather was the only drawback to this trip. There happened to be a thunderstorm the first day I wanted to go to Chicago. Then the next day there was a tornado warning all through out Chicago and a small tornado dropped down and had winds that were powerful enough to alarm all residents, topple trees onto cars as well as powerlines snapped in half laid in the streets. So I didn't get to spend the night in Chicago for those night time shots as I had expected to do in my trip planner. Things still worked out for the best and I made it home in one piece. Hello Life, Sure i'll sign for this bouquet!

On my trip to Illinois I had plenty of opportunities to photograph some beautiful natural flowers that grew wild in the backwoods. I am not sure the exact names of each flower but when i do find their names i will be sure to label them. I do have a detailed book that explains the meaning behind each flower if they are given to the ones you love that I will include the occasion to give these flowers out to a love one in the detailed description. I do know for roses there are numerous meanings, my favorite being a rose with thorns means "love at first site". Most of my flower pictures that I grab go to the women in my family. I hope to grow a whole garden stretching from coast to coast of my flower creations. I do not own a macro lens yet, but I find that I can get some great shots without that addition to the arsenal, for the moment. I've shot all these hand held as well, no tripod for these few. The big favorite of fellow photog is artificial sunflowers from the flower district in downtown. I went down there a few times and picked up great flowers for a great price. I used them in studio shots but was not thrilled with the results. They weren't as eye popping as I would have liked, they lacked a proper background. The third image is what I think a flower that is just waking up would look like, an early morning yawn. The first image is what tears of joy would run down the cheeks of this April flower. My third, shows a busy street of flowers open for business and one having that loyal lunch time customer, who never forgets to pay a visit. Thank you mother nature for some beautiful scenes to reflect upon. I don't know which is more important the photos to reflect on and ponder more, or the first moment of wonder that brought me to a halt. So I guess today's question shall be..."What is worth more to the memory, the years of a lifetime or the single second of a time "-Ryan "Bluetwig" Williams
